Unmanaged VPS hosting

Unmanaged KVM VPS hosting

Run custom applications and services with root access, defined resource allocations, NVMe storage, and a self-service control plane.

These are unmanaged servers. Bitfoo manages the hardware and network; you manage the operating system and applications.

What the platform provides

KVM isolation

Each virtual server runs its own kernel and receives the resource profile listed for its plan.

Full root access

Install the operating system packages, services, runtime, and network configuration your workload requires.

Self-service recovery access

Power controls, reinstall tools, console access, SSH keys, reverse DNS, and resource graphs remain available from the panel.

Location choice

Select from the currently available US East, US West, UK, EU, and Asia-Pacific regions during ordering.

Choose the capacity your workload needs

Start with enough memory for the application, operating system, database, and deployment process—not only average request traffic.

Common questions

Which operating systems are available?

Current templates include Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and CentOS Stream. Windows availability and custom ISO requirements should be confirmed for the selected plan and region.

Do I receive root access?

Yes. VPS plans provide full root and SSH access to the server environment.

Are VPS plans managed?

No. Bitfoo manages the physical host and network. You are responsible for the operating system, security updates, application stack, monitoring, and backups.

Can I run Docker or persistent background services?

Yes. KVM provides the server environment required for containers, workers, databases, and other persistent services, subject to the plan’s resources and acceptable-use policy.

What happens after the bandwidth allocation is reached?

The current product policy is to reduce throughput for the remainder of the billing cycle rather than charge an automatic overage.
