KVM VPS Hosting
Most cloud VPS plans pool resources across tenants and call it "burstable." Bitfoo VPS runs on KVM — hardware-level isolation, dedicated vCPU and RAM, on AMD Ryzen 9 9900X hardware. What you order is what you get.
All VPS plans are unmanaged. You have full root control — Bitfoo handles the hardware and network; your server configuration is yours.
Hardware
Most providers don't tell you what their servers actually run on. Here's ours.
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X — 12-core / 24-thread, 4.4GHz base, Zen 5
- DDR5 RAM on every plan
- NVMe SSD storage
- KVM virtualization — true hardware-level isolation. Each VPS runs its own kernel. No shared process space, no container-based resource contention.
What every plan includes
- All VPS plans are unmanaged. You have full root control — Bitfoo handles the hardware and network; your server configuration is yours.
- Full root access and SSH from the moment your server is live
- 99.9% uptime SLA — measured monthly, service credit issued for any shortfall
- Choice of 5 datacenter locations at order time — US East, US West, UK, EU, Asia-Pacific
- 10Gbps network ports on all plans
- Self-service control panel: power control, OS reinstall, console access, networking, SSH keys, resource graphs
- Browser-based emergency console — access your server even if SSH is unreachable
- Reverse DNS management — set your own PTR records from the panel
- IPv6 included on every plan
- Automated provisioning — server ready within minutes of payment
- Resource monitoring with real-time and historical graphs
- Backups are self-managed. Snapshot tools and offsite backup configuration are available via your server — no automated backup service is included.

Common questions
What Linux distributions are available?
Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and CentOS Stream are available as one-click templates. Windows Server is available on VPS-2 and above — get in touch to confirm availability for your region. You can also upload any custom ISO for a fully custom installation.
Do I get full root access?
Yes. Full root access and SSH are available from the moment your server is provisioned. No support ticket required.
Can I install custom software and run background processes?
Yes. It's your server. Docker, custom stacks, cron jobs, long-running processes - you have full control. Running Docker specifically? See our Docker hosting page. Running Laravel with queues, Redis, or Octane? See the Laravel hosting page. Running Node.js? See the Node.js hosting page for setup guidance. Running Next.js? See the Next.js hosting page. Running Ruby on Rails? See the Rails hosting page. Running Ghost? See the Ghost hosting page for setup guidance. Running Django, Flask, or FastAPI? See the Python hosting page. Running Django specifically? See the Django hosting page.
What's the difference between VPS tiers?
VPS-1 is best for testing, staging, or low-traffic apps. VPS-2 fits small production workloads or developer tools. VPS-4 is a better fit for growing apps, moderate traffic, or multi-service stacks. VPS-6 is designed for high-traffic apps, production databases, or resource-intensive workloads.
Can I upgrade without downtime?
Upgrades between VPS tiers can be handled through the client portal. Depending on the change, a brief reboot may be required, but there is no data migration needed.
Do you support IPv6?
Yes. IPv6 is included on all VPS plans. You can manage IPv6 addresses and reverse DNS from the self-service control panel.
